Zen Multispeciality Hospital has been awarded the CII WR Health Innovation Award 2025 at the Hospital Tech 2025 conference organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The hospital was recognised as a Winner (Medium) in the category of Best Academic Institution (Government/Private). The award was presented during the 8th edition of the CII WR Health Innovation Awards held on 10–11 September 2025 at Hotel Taj Lands End, Mumbai.

The recognition highlights Zen Multispeciality Hospital’s work in building a culture of learning, research, and training while providing healthcare services to the community.

India’s healthcare industry is undergoing growth through innovation, digitalisation, and a collaborative ecosystem. As one of the largest sectors by revenue and employment, it spans hospitals, med-tech, telemedicine, insurance, diagnostics, and medical tourism. Rising private equity, foreign investments, and government initiatives are further contributing to its development. Increasing adoption of telehealth, AI in diagnostics, digital prescriptions, wearable devices, and health cloud platforms is expanding access and improving operational efficiency.

Zen Multispeciality Hospital has combined advanced medical practices with an academic focus, emphasising training, research, and the use of technology. The award supports the hospital’s vision of integrating care, cure, and education while contributing to India’s healthcare ecosystem.

The hospital has also extended medical training to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Structured programmes and live surgical demonstrations have trained more than 500 surgeons across India. Training sessions have been held in Jajpur (Odisha), Hubli Medical College, Bhopal, Nashik, and Aurangabad. The hospital also conducted a live surgical workshop linking 94 centres and medical colleges, creating what it described as a first-of-its-kind global platform for real-time learning and collaboration.

Commenting on the award, Dr Roy Patankar, Director, Zen Multispeciality Hospital, said, “This acknowledgement by CII is a proud achievement for every member of Zen Multispeciality Hospital. This recognition is a reflection of our training initiatives. For the first time in the world, Zen Multispeciality Hospital successfully linked 94 centres and medical colleges for a live surgical workshop, creating a unique platform for knowledge sharing and medical excellence. We are not only dedicated to providing the best patient care but also shaping the future of healthcare through knowledge-sharing and academic excellence. We will continuously strive to raise benchmarks in innovation, compassion, and medical education. This award motivates us to continue our journey with greater passion and responsibility.”
