Fortis Healthcare announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, International Hospital (IHL), has entered into a 15-year lease agreement with RR Lifesciences Limited for a ~200-bed fully operational multi-specialty hospital in Greater Noida.
Fortis had previously managed the facility under an Operations and Management (O&M) arrangement since its launch in October 2022 and will continue to operate the facility as Fortis Hospital Greater Noida under the new lease agreement.
With this agreement, Fortis will assume complete operational and financial control, consolidating the hospital’s performance within its network. The hospital is located on a 1.35-acre UPSIDA-leased land parcel with 2.7 lakh sq. ft. of built-up area. The facility has the potential to add 50 more beds within the existing structure, taking the total to ~250 beds. It is connected by the Greater Noida Expressway, Metro (Aqua line), Yamuna Expressway and Eastern Peripheral Expressway, and is situated 34 km from the upcoming Jewar International Airport.
Greater Noida has recorded population growth, corporate expansion and residential development in recent years. Healthcare infrastructure has not matched demand. The presence of this tertiary care facility within the Fortis network will address the medical needs of communities in Greater Noida and adjoining areas, while positioning the city as a healthcare hub in Delhi-NCR.
Commenting on the development, Dr Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, MD and CEO, Fortis Healthcare, said, “The addition of Fortis Hospital Greater Noida underlines our commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery across NCR. Greater Noida is emerging as an important hub, driven by urbanisation, industrial growth, and rising patient demand. With this expansion, we are not only enhancing access to advanced tertiary care but also reinforcing Fortis’ leadership in the region. Our focus will remain on delivering high-quality, ethical, and patient-centric care while exploring opportunities for further growth.”
