Milann Fertility expands into Tamil Nadu with GyKnow Medicare Centre partnership

Milann Fertility and Birthing Hospital, Bengaluru, has expanded into Tamil Nadu through a partnership with GyKnow Medicare Centre, Hosur. The collaboration aims to make fertility care accessible to families in emerging Tier-2 and Tier-3 regions.

The new facility was inaugurated in the presence of Aakriti Sethi, IAS, Sub Collector, Hosur, along with Dr K.M. Ajitha, City Health Officer, Hosur Corporation, Anuradha Selvakumar, Director, DSK Innosciences, Radha, Founder & Director, Aradhana Social Service & Skill Development Trust, and Asha K, Proprietor, AK Group. GyKnow Medicare Centre, founded by Dr Sharmila, Obstetrics and Gynaecologist, is a women’s and family healthcare facility in Hosur.

Anjali Ajaikumar, Director, Milann Fertility and Birthing Hospital, said, “There is a growing need for high-quality, structured, and ethical fertility care in emerging cities. Hosur is a rapidly developing hub, and this centre will ensure that couples can access advanced treatment without the need to travel to Bengaluru or Chennai. This expansion reflects Milann’s long-term commitment to offering hope to couples across India, not just in metros. Our mission has always been to take credible, outcome-driven fertility care to regions where such services are limited, so that every couple regardless of geography can access the right treatment at the right time. Also, partnering with GyKnow strengthens this mission further. The centre’s strong community trust, ethical foundation, and deep local roots make it an ideal collaborator to extend Milann’s scientific and outcome-driven fertility care to families who need it the most.”

Reproductive medicine is a critical need in Hosur, a region in Tamil Nadu, which has one of India’s lowest Total Fertility Rates at approximately 1.4, below replacement level. As an urban industrial hub, Hosur’s population often delays childbearing due to career and economic priorities, leading to higher rates of age-related infertility and clinical concerns such as PCOS and male-factor issues. Specialised IVF and fertility clinics address social stigma, emotional distress, and provide assisted reproductive technologies to support families in achieving desired family size.

Dr Sharmila, Founder of GyKnow Medicare Centre, said, “We are honoured to partner with Milann, an institution with an exceptional legacy in fertility care. Milann’s decades of clinical expertise and credibility strengthen our ability to offer tertiary-level reproductive services to families in Hosur and the surrounding regions. Until now, many couples from Hosur and Krishnagiri were compelled to travel 40–60 km to Bengaluru for advanced fertility treatments, often delaying timely intervention. With this new centre, families can finally access ethical, evidence-based reproductive healthcare within their own city.”

Through this partnership, Milann and GyKnow Medicare Centre will offer reproductive health services including IVF, IUI, ICSI, fertility management for men and women, obstetrics and gynaecology, andrology and men’s health, gynaecological endoscopy, and advanced laboratory services.
