Apollo Hospitals, Ahmedabad, inaugurated Gujarat’s first Nurse-Led Clinic on Wednesday. The facility was formally launched by Cdr Jelson Kavalakkat, CEO, Apollo Hospitals, Ahmedabad.
The initiative has been introduced under the leadership of Capt (Dr) Usha Banerjee, Group Director Nursing, Apollo Hospitals. It is part of Apollo’s continued focus on integrating nursing expertise into patient care pathways.
At the newly launched clinic, trained nursing professionals will support patients through structured education, counselling, post-discharge care demonstrations, and routine follow-up sessions. Nurses will collaborate with doctors as care partners, contributing to improved treatment outcomes and continuity of care.
The clinic will be operated by registered and advanced nurse practitioners, with an emphasis on preventive care and chronic disease management. This approach aims to provide patients with consistent clinical support and health education beyond conventional hospital visits.
Apollo Hospitals continues to adopt care models that involve multidisciplinary collaboration, including nurse-led interventions, to support evolving patient needs in India’s healthcare landscape.
