Solarea Bio, a company launching microbiome products to combat inflammatory conditions and improve the lives of afflicted individuals, rounds out their management team with strong startup commercialization experience as they welcome Dr. David Easson, Chief Manufacturing Officer and Rachel Raymond, Chief Business Officer.
Solarea Bio started in 2017 with the hypothesis that one of the reasons fresh fruits and vegetables are so important for health is the microbes living inside of them. Through combining expertise in microbial discovery and access to genomic sequencing through the Illumina Accelerator, Solarea was able to prove that hypothesis. In addition to their clinical stage product for osteoporosis, Solarea has expanded their focus and has developed a pipeline of products targeting different inflammatory conditions. Solarea Bio raised a Series A round in 2020 and is focusing on expanding their platform and ramping up to commercialize their first product.
